Harry Reems dies at 65; porn actor starred in 'Deep Throat'

The former porn star Harry Reems, known for the male lead in Deep Throat Died Tuesday at the age 65 .

wife of Reems confirmed, who was born Herbert Streicher,this Wednesday to  New York Magazine.

The cause of the death of Reems is still unknown, but he suffered from multiple disorders, including pancreatic cancer.

Reems played the male lead in Deep Throat in 1972, the cult film that was first introduced pornography to a large audience. He played the role of the doctor in the movie for well-known actress Linda Lovelace.

Reems left the porn industry in the 80s and moved from Los Angeles to Utah where he started working as a broker. According to New York Magazine Lovelace and Reems kept over the years until contact with each other in 2002 Lovelace died from the effects of a car accident.

Later this year, the film Lovelace , about the life of former porn actress.Amanda Seyfried plays the role of Lovelace and Adam Brody takes the role of Reems itself.

Other stars in the film include Sharon Stone, Chris Noth, Hank Azaria, James Franco and Chloe Sevigny.
